Business Cards

For my business card, I wanted to create a logo which I could incorporate across all of my sites. Also in terms of design I wanted something very simplistic. My brother is currently at University studying Graphic Design so I asked if he could possibly knock me up a few designs, here is what he came up with: I like both designs and feel they fit within the style I was going with, my brother recommended the second one, but yet I prefer the first design and feel its a more attractive image from a first glance.  In terms of business card, I will just have this logo situated on the front while keeping the back very simple with only my number and email address.  Andrew had suggested adding something more to the front of the card to make it stand out, like a New York skyline for example. However I found that didn't give the impression I was going for as to me it seemed a little pretentious. Also from the very beginning I wanted to keep the design simple....

After our session with Andrew, I began to shop around for website designs. Tori had mentioned a site, PortfolioBox, which had been recommended to her by a few illustration students. She had mentioned that this was a lot cheaper that the competition like Wix or Square Space, when I looked into the site she was right, it was a lot cheaper, so I decided to move forward with PortfolioBox, this was until I began creating the site and realised that the creator was really complicated and wasn't user friendly at all, and after seeing Andrew use Wix so easily, I figured that may be what you're paying for, the easy user interface. So I swapped things over and moved onto Wix instead. I thought I'd give the A.I. builder a shot to see what it came up with and if I didn't like it, I'd start over. I was happy with what it created for me and felt the whole site was miles ahead of PortfolioBox in terms of freedom to craft your own site. I put a few things together to show Andrew in...
